A Dialogue Session: “The role of the aviation industry in development and tourism”
A dialogue session was held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, entitled:
(The role of the aviation industry in development and tourism).
Where Mr. Salah Al-Abbar, the moderator of the session, presented:
Captain Pilot/Ahmed Banka, guest of the session.
He touched on the history of the aviation industry in Libya and its role in development and tourism.
Many international airline companies that contributed to promoting tourism and development were presented through offering tourism programs in which airlines contributed as a form of advertising for tourist attractions.
An example of this is charter flights transporting tourists at reduced prices and other commercial and promotional ideas.
Captain Ahmed spoke about the necessity of developing the infrastructure of the aviation industry, and international and international airports were shown on the screen, which support and market tourism in their countries.
Airports are not only for transporting passengers and freight, but rather they are a free market that attracts tourists and transit passengers, a very large income for the state and a contributor to development and investment, there must be a complete and comprehensive vision regarding the development of airports through expansion and construction in an advanced manner that keeps pace with neighboring countries. The situation of airports in Libya is not Acceptable compared to our neighbors, not to mention other airports in the world.
Specialized institutions must come together to develop policies that advance the aviation industry, and there must be experts who evaluate the current conditions to come up with this advanced vision for the aviation and tourism sector.
There were also contributions from the audience
Mr. Khaled Bouzakouk spoke about the necessity of paying attention to tourism through the infrastructure of hotels and recreational sports clubs and the role of the private sector in this development.
Professor Sarah Al-Talhi also spoke about the possibility of this through stability, support for the tourism and aviation sector, and reforms therein.
Mr. Nasser Al-Haddad spoke about the role of training and development for cadres, whether in tourism or the aviation field.
Mr. Tariq Bu Hajar said that the internal house of these institutions is supposed to be organized, monitored, and follow up on the progress of the administrative and financial processes in them.
