On Saturday, November 23, Dr Aref Nayed, Chairman of the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies, met with Dr Victoria Coates, Deputy Assistant to US President Donald Trump, Vice President of the U.S. National Security Council for Middle East and North Africa Affairs.
Also attending the meeting, which was held at the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was Ambassador A. D. Christian Pak, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa.
The meeting covered the latest developments in Libya and preparations for the Berlin Conference. The meeting was a follow-up to Dr Nayed’s recent meetings in Washington with the National Security Council, the State Department and several US ministries and agencies.
