Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) congratulates Libyan women and all the women of the world on International Women’s Day.
LIAS commends the remarkable and significant efforts made by women in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, in the medical, community, humanitarian and relief fields, where they are in the front lines, doing their utmost to help and save others, and show mercy on those who died. We hope that responsible authorities will be with them and their families with inclusive legislation, honor and praise.
The contribution of women and girls in Libya has not stood only there—they have made enormous efforts and suffered many burdens, difficulties, commitments and troubles to spread happiness, hope and life through the restoration of a safe present and the making of a great future.
We call for women to be truly included in our societies, through employment opportunities, equality, political participation and protection.
