The Libya Institute for Advanced Studies organized the first event of this new year 2021, January 6, 2021, a symposium entitled: Broken Spirit

About post-traumatic stress disorder.

Definition of trauma, its causes, and effects.

Participated in: Dr. Issam Samir

Doctorate in psychological counseling and clinical supervision.
Specialized in trauma treatment.
National Clinical Advisor for Global Relief in the United States.
He worked with many non-profit relief organizations, in more than 40 countries.
Consultant at the Rehabilitation and Research Center for Torture Victims – Copenhagen, Denmark.
Consultant for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the US Refugee Commission and HIAS.
Assistant Professor at Judson University.
He has written many books and research, and has trained thousands in the field of psychological counselling.

There were also contributions from professors, doctors, and social workers from various Libyan cities.
