LIAS team participated in the opening of the “Dr. Mithali Muhammad Library for Study and Reading” in the municipality of Al-Barakat, in the presence of notables, sheikhs and professors from Al-Barakat and Ghat. The opening coincided with the anniversary of the Night Journey and Mi’raj.
The library contains more than 3,000 titles. It is his private library, which his children endowed for readers and students of knowledge to make it available to them daily according to specific times, after preparing a special place for it bearing his name, adjacent to his charitable organization through which he gave a lot to the people of his town.
The association’s team also gave a speech in which they praised this deed, and the importance of this cognitive and cultural work, while mentioning bad examples of people who neglected libraries they inherited, so they were sold for a low price or their parts were cut up.
Greetings and thanks to the children of Dr. Perfect, for their good deeds in their father’s library, for it to be a distinguished feat, a rare loyalty, a preservation of books from loss, a sharing of knowledge, and a good practice for the children of scholars to be faithful to the legacy of their fathers.
The Libya Institute for Advanced Studies will donate copies of all its publications to this fledgling library.
