Dr Nayed Delivers a Lecture in Athens and Signs Academic Cooperation Agreements

Dr Aref Nayed, Chairman of the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies gave a lecture on “Libyan-Greek relations and the decisions of the Berlin meeting and its aftermath” at the Greek Armed Forces Officers Club in Athens, in a symposium organised by the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS).  The symposium was attended by diplomats, military experts, security specialists and academics specialising in Mediterranean affairs.

Dr Nayed also signed academic cooperation agreements with the RIEAS together with the Centre’s President, Dr John Nomikos.

The symposium was followed by a press conference and press meetings with a group of Greek media representatives, during which Dr Nayed explained the case for the legitimacy of the Libyan parliament, its Government and the leadership of its army, while clearly demonstrating the importance of intensifying efforts to meet common challenges and risks.
