The Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) today announced the retention of global consulting firm, Sanitas International to support strategic communications, public affairs and outreach to key stakeholders in the United States and Europe.
Dr. Nayed retained Sanitas International prior to a recent trip he and other LIAS leadership made to the United States, where they updated the U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP) on progress made under their formal partnership, signed in 2013. In addition to briefing USIP, Dr. Nayed and his team spoke with a wide range of lawmakers, think tanks, and media about the on-going conflict in Libya. The discussions highlighted the need for continued support for Libyan democracy and a unified global Coalition to combat the threat of ISIS in Libya and throughout the region.
“Sanitas International is honored to provide support to Dr. Nayed and the entire LIAS team. LIAS is positively impacting the next generation of Libyan leaders and we look forward to working with the Institute to solve the critical challenges facing the nation,” said Sanitas International Partner, Christopher Harvin.
Sanitas International and the LIAS support staff will focus on educating key stakeholders in the United States and Europe, and build the Institute’s public and private sector partners. This collaboration will accelerate the Institute’s ability to help stabilize Libya, build effective and lasting social institutions, and empower the men and women who will lead Libya into its prosperous future.
