The Libya Peace Tournament launched with a whole range of sports, cultural, and religious contests on the 9th day of the holy month of Ramadan in Bani Walid.
The tournament is organized by Al-Dhahrah Sports and Cultural Club, administered by the Peace Association for Charity in Bani Walid, and sponsored by the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS).
The event included a Futsal tournament, table tennis, chess, cycling, cross country racing, volleyball, billiards and snooker contests. Moreover, the activities also include a Holy Qur’an memorization and recitation competition which is held in collaboration with the Bani Walid Awqaf Bureau.
The LPT will continue throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
