Media and strategic communications are essential and unavoidable change agents in the development process. Building a robust and free media environ- ment can help improve governance by raising awareness of social issues, establish a civic forum for open debate, enable citizens to publicly and peacefully address issues and give a voice to those who have been marginalized in society. At the same time, both public and private sectors need to be able to communi- cate clearly and effectively to their stakeholders.
LIAS-DS offers training courses, workshops and seminars covering various aspects of media and strategic communications, including:
- Strategic communications
- Crisis communications
- Social media
- Positioning and messaging
- Giving impactful interviews
In addition LIAS-DS provides training in a range of professional journalism skills through international partners like the Rory Peck Trust.
