An Educational and Awareness-Raising symposium on teaching the Arabic language to young people in Libya, “Obstacles and Aspirations.”
Today, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, an educational and awareness seminar was held on teaching the Arabic language to young people in Libya, “Obstacles and Aspirations.”
On the occasion of the Arab Day of the Arabic Language.
Its preparation and organization was supervised by Ms. Sarah Al-Talhi.
The faculty members of the Arabic Language Department at the University of Benghazi participated.
The session was opened by Dr. Safi Al-Sheikhi.
Prof. Dr. Younis Musa’s intervention was about the difficulty of learning to read, the causes and how to treat it. He touched on the challenges of teaching and learning the Arabic language for the basic stage, the problem of students’ weakness in the first stages of study, the goals of teaching, the causes of weak reading, and treatment of weakness.
The paper was Dr. Muhammad Ali Abdel Wahab, A., examined the manifestations of linguistic weakness among students and teachers, and concluded with suggestions and recommendations for treating the problem.
The participation of Professor Engineer Ahmed Boudbous was about the importance of the Arabic language in understanding religion, and that extremist misconceptions arise from a lack of mastery of Arabic and its sciences, which has led to the spread of false ideas and concepts.
Professor Aisha Al-Farjani also participated with poetic verses about the virtue of Arabic and taking care of it, entitled: The Language of Holiness, by Professor Abdel Basset Al-Aqouri.
Professor Abdul Basit Al-Aqouri concluded by speaking about teaching the Arabic language in Libya between grammar and linguistic skills.
