Nayed in Mauritania at a Consultative Meeting of the Scholars from the Sahel and the Sudan

Dr Aref Ali Nayed, Chairman of the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS), participated today in a Consultative Meeting of scholars from the Sahel and Sudan. The Consulting Meeting was held under the title “Reconcile Among Yourselves” and was organised by the African Conference for Peace, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, under the auspices of the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazaouani.

 

Dr Nayed spoke in the opening session of the Consultative Meeting about the current situation in Sudan, and ways to support the Sudanese people in their ordeal. He also held several meetings on the sidelines of the event with religious and political leaders from Sudan, Chad, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Senegal and Mauritania.
