Within the framework of cooperation between the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies and the Tibawi Culture Salon, the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies hosted, for three consecutive days, August 8 – 10, 2022, at its headquarters in the city of Benghazi, a series of courses entitled: “The Basics of Debate.”
This session was coordinated by Mr. Tariq Qalma, member of the Al-Tabawi Culture Salon, and presented by Mr. Abu Bakr Al-Shami, professor of political science at Sebha University and international trainer for debates and community development.
The first day discussed the importance of self-training, the role of debates in developing personality, and introducing the types of debates.
On the second day, there was talk about the pillars of debates, methods of persuasion, and research methods.
Today’s conclusion was a practical application, where two debates were held between the trainees, the trainer evaluated them, and the trainees were given certificates of attendance and participation.
