Pauses with the Life of Professor Judge Ibrahim Bakir, May God have mercy on him

On April 21, 2021, the Libya Academy for Advanced Studies organized a lecture on the Zoom platform entitled: Pauses with the Life of Professor Judge Ibrahim Bakir, may God have mercy on him, prepared and delivered by Professor Muhammad Salem Al-Ajeel, on the occasion of: the anniversary of the death of the Mufti of Libya, Professor Judge Ibrahim Bakir, may God Almighty have mercy on him [1273 – 1362 AH]. [1856-1943 AD].

Professor Bakir, may God Almighty have mercy on him, represents the creative, influential, and encyclopedic scholar who has an awareness, cultural, and struggle project, while ensuring the preservation of cultural, religious, and social identity.
This meeting is to talk about the stages of his life, his creativity, the sciences that he studied and taught, his jobs, his writings, his loans, his projects, his positions, his morals, his poetry, and what was said about him in his time.
The research referred to Professor Bakir’s lineage, his family, his sheikhs, and his students.
The researcher also referred to the sciences formed by Professor Bakir, may God have mercy on him, and with this formation he achieved local and international creativity.
The researcher also referred to the students who graduated from it, and their creative roles in national life, the cultural, political, jihadi and cognitive movement, and the establishment of the Libyan state.
The researcher pointed out some of the projects that Professor Bakir worked on, and for which he lived in service to his country, to humanity, and to the architecture of this universe.

The researcher reviewed the books and manuscripts that the Sheikh wrote and left behind.
He wondered about its existence today, and about the neglect affecting the libraries of scholars, researchers, professors, readers, and writers, and the roles they played.
The researcher concluded his lecture by talking about the poetic purposes of Professor Bakir’s poetry.
He read a group of wonderful, beautiful and distinctive verses and poems.
Pointing to the number of sources and references that he consulted in this lecture, which was originally a small booklet that will be printed soon.
The sources reached more than 35 sources,
At the forefront is the study presented by Professor Ali Mustafa Al-Misrati, may God protect him, in his book Literary Glimpses about Libya.
In his lecture, the researcher also referred to several other topics related to ethics in which Professor Bakir excelled.
The jobs he assumed, his doctrinal, jurisprudential and behavioral approach, his family and its branches.
The importance of the connection between different sciences, the conscious reading of history and biographies, and the important roles.
The lamentation of Professor Bakir, which some poets, judges, and notables said upon his death, may God Almighty have mercy on him.
